Services

L Brown Designs provides graphic design, marketing design, presentation design, print design, exhibition and event graphics, website design support, and related creative services. The scope of each project, including deliverables, timelines and fees, will be agreed in writing prior to work commencing.

Quotations

All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. Quotations are based on the information provided at the time of quoting. Any changes to the project brief may require a revised quotation.

Scope Changes

Any work requested outside the agreed project scope may incur additional charges. Significant changes to project requirements, deliverables, timelines or objectives may require a revised quotation and project schedule. No additional work will commence without client approval.

Revisions

Project fees include a reasonable number of revisions as outlined within the quotation or proposal. Additional revisions, amendments or redesign requests beyond those included may be charged at the agreed hourly or project rate.

Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to provide all content, information, assets, feedback and approvals required to complete the project within agreed timescales.

The client is responsible for:

  • Reviewing and approving work promptly

  • Proofreading all content before final approval

  • Ensuring they have permission to use any supplied content, imagery, trademarks or other materials

  • Providing accurate and complete project information

Delays in providing feedback, approvals or required materials may affect project timelines and delivery dates.

Payment Terms

Payment terms will be outlined within individual quotations, proposals or service agreements.

Depending on the nature and scope of the work, projects may require a non-refundable deposit before work commences, be invoiced at agreed project milestones, or be billed on a recurring basis for ongoing design support and contract work.

All invoices are payable within 14 days unless otherwise agreed.

L Brown Designs reserves the right to pause work where invoices remain outstanding.

Late payments may be subject to statutory interest and recovery costs in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Copyright & Ownership

All concepts, designs, artwork and materials created by L Brown Designs remain the property of L Brown Designs until full payment has been received.

Upon receipt of full payment, ownership of the final approved deliverables transfers to the client unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Editable source files, working files and unused concepts remain the property of L Brown Designs unless specifically included within the agreed project deliverables.

Portfolio Rights

L Brown Designs reserves the right to display completed projects and associated materials within portfolios, case studies, social media, marketing materials and promotional activities unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Any confidential information shared by the client will remain confidential.

Third-Party Costs

Any third-party costs are not included unless specifically stated within the quotation.

Examples include:

  • Stock photography

  • Premium fonts

  • Printing services

  • Domain registration

  • Website hosting

  • Website plugins or software subscriptions

  • Third-party licences

The client remains responsible for any ongoing fees associated with third-party services.

Liability

While every effort is made to ensure accuracy and quality, L Brown Designs shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of supplied artwork, websites or creative materials.

The client accepts responsibility for reviewing and approving all work before publication, production or distribution.

L Brown Designs shall not be liable for issues arising from client-supplied content, third-party suppliers, software platforms, hosting providers or printing companies.

Cancellation

Either party may terminate a project by providing written notice.

Where work has already commenced, any deposit paid will be retained and the client will be invoiced for any completed work not covered by the deposit.

L Brown Designs reserves the right to suspend or terminate a project where communication breaks down, project requirements fall outside the agreed scope, payments remain outstanding, or the working relationship becomes unsuitable.

File Retention

Clients are advised to download and securely store all final files upon project completion.

L Brown Designs will endeavour to retain project files for up to 12 months following project completion; however, long-term storage cannot be guaranteed.

Requests for archived files after project completion may be subject to an administrative fee.
